American Oncology Network Appoints New Vice President of
Fort Myers, Fla., November 8, 2021 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) – American Oncology Network, LLC (AON), a high-growth medical oncology provider focused on supporting the long-term sustainability of oncology treatment in communities settings, announced the arrival of John Misitis as vice president of business development. In her role, Misitis will oversee business development with a focus on building new relationships with suppliers to join the AON network. In addition to developing and executing plans to develop new business, Misitis will be responsible for maintaining relationships with existing practices to achieve revenue and profitability goals.
Misitis brings over 25 years in sales and business development, as well as extensive experience in the field of medical practice management. Most recently, he held a leadership role at AmerisourceBergen Oncology Supply, where he was instrumental in driving significant revenue growth and leading critical positioning and sales generation exceeding 10% revenue growth. and increasing gross margin 17% year-over-year on revenue of $ 7.8 billion.
In addition to his 13 year tenure at Oncology Supply, he spent 12 years previously at Johnson & Johnson Ortho Biotech serving oncology physician offices in several key roles. Rising rapidly within the leadership team of PROCRITÂ®, a prescription drug used to treat anemia, Misitis was responsible for the development and execution of sales strategies and tactics in community cancer centers. as well as the long-term care market in eight states in the Mid-Atlantic and Eastern Regions.
Misitis received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Marketing from Clarion University of Pennsylvania.
